A Typical Day in November 2013

November flew by. We visited Oak Glen (while I was coming down with a stomach flu, fun fun.) We decorated the house for Thanksgiving and then for Christmas. Our days were packed, and since I’m trying to write this in February of 2014, so many of the details escape me. But here are a few random photos that stood out to me. Two memories in particular. One of you, Adela, dancing for us on Thanksgiving and attempting to remember the few ballet positions I know and tried to teach you. So cute. And you, Josiah, obsessed with the “broom” we used to clean up after decorating the tree. You got mad at us every time we needed it and took it from you. It kept you entertained for probably close to an hour, just pushing it along the floor all self-important like you had the most vital job of the evening. Also, very cute.

{Typical Day} October 2013

I’m writing this in February of 2014, as I frantically try to make up for lost time and fill in the gaps I’ve left in this scrapbook. If nothing else, a few photos will help preserve October 2013. The first photos were taken on Josiah’s first birthday, the official day.

We recently started a tradition of going out to eat on Wednesday mornings, “Special Wednesday Breakfast!” Daddy is usually working in the middle of the week, so it’s a way for us to break up the monotony, do something fun,  and give Momma a break. We all look forward to it.

A major milestone happened on October 29th. Josiah, you took your first steps. And you never looked back. This are actually some of the first dozen steps you took. Thank you for doing it when I had my camera out and ready. 😉
