This was SO FUN (very hard to photograph while playing with you and with you moving a thousand miles a minute and with the sun going down… but the pics will definitely give you an idea). You were SO excited. I prepped it all during naptime. After I got you up, while I changed your diaper, I explained to you that your Beanie Babies all hid and we were going to have to follow the footprints to see where they’d gone. Your eyes got big and you answered with a resounding “Yeah!” when I asked if you wanted to go find them. They “hid” all over, in waste baskets, behind pillows, under beds, in closets and behind bookshelves. I had a blast doing this with you and you got excited EVERY time you found a new one. Honestly, you got so excited that I had to remind you quite frequently to follow the footprints rather than just scanning the room in frantic excitement looking for the babies themselves. And each time you found one, you’d stop and put in the bag I gave you to collect them in.
You liked this little hide and seek game so much that, after we found them all, I put you in your high chair with a snack so I could hide a bunch more in new spots, and then we did the whole thing over again. Awesome. I kept the footprints. Next time we’ll get Daddy involved and let him help. I can tell hide and seek with you is going to be fun. That’s next. 🙂
