Special Report – Disney with Mima and Papi

Daddy missed out this time. He had to work. But Mima and Papi came along. We want to start taking advantage of our season passes and your last year to visit Disneyland FREE. 🙂 The weather was perfection. You got to wear your Minnie dress and pink cowgirl boots. This was the only time you wore the ears. At one other point, right before the parade, I had this awesome image in mind and tried to stage it and put the ears on you in front of all the people lined up to watch the parade – in the middle of the road – and you said “NO!” really loudly, took them off your head, and threw them about 10 feet. You made about 20 people, including Mima and I, laugh out loud. Anyway, I really wanted to get at least one shot of you in them, preferably in front of the castle. We asked and pleaded  and bribed, you looked down, stuck your lip out and said “dnooo”… *until* Mima offered to buy you a balloon. The wheels turned for a minute and you said, “yeah!” You are too smart little one. We stuck the ears on no problem, then I made some goofy faces to get you smiling and Waaaahla! Smilely Minnie Baby in front of Aurora’s Castle. Yay! And yes, Mima did buy you the balloon.

It was another great day. You enjoyed it even more this time. There was less shock and awe and more smiling and excitement. I have a feeling it’s going to be more and more like that every time, as you get over the overwhelming awe that Disney inspires and really get into experiencing it. Again, no tears. Not even once. You waited in every line, stayed by us, walked your little legs off, and were a very good girl all day long. You made it until about 7:30 with no nap. We were on our way to It’s a Small World for once last ride and decided it wasn’t worth waking you up. You were a little champ. I can’t believe you made it that long with no major meltdowns.

I’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking. Can’t wait to go again with Daddy. There is just too much to do in one day, and besides that, we missed him! And pretty soon we’ll hopefully get to go with Seth and his parents (one of Momma’s best friends since we were little girls). You guys have never met and I can’t wait to see what you do, and take pictures of you guys on rides together. 🙂
