December 24 & 25, 2013
Not the best year for Christmas morning photos. I took a few, but I spent the majority of the day enjoying you guys with my own eyes rather than through the lens. I had planned on taking a cute picture of the both of you in your flannel suit pjs in front of the tree first thing, and it wasn’t meant to be. Josiah proceeded to choke on some stocking stuffer packaging and threw up all over himself within minutes of being up (thank God you just gagged yourself and weren’t in any real danger!), and by the time we got it rewashed and back on you, the day had proceeded and the moment had past. But it’s alright. These photos, as imperfect as they are, will help me remember the gist.
The first photo is actually from Christmas Eve. We started a tradition of wrapping your Christmas jammies this year, along with a new Christmas movie and new Christmas book (as well as goodies for eating during the new movie, this year peanut butter M&Ms, Adela’s favorite), to be opened the night before Christmas. Of course, the only new part of the tradition is the actual packaging and wrapping of it, but it’s a fun little addition and I hope to continue it as you grow up.
